Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 1 cup water
- Sliced lemons
- Sliced oranges
- Cloves
- Cinnamon sticks
- 1 Bottle dry red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1/4 cup cranberry juice
- Sparkling Water
Method:
- Prepare the sparkling water: Fizz 1 bottle of cold water
- Make the sugar syrup. In a small saucepan, dissolve the sugar and water together until sugar is fully dissolved. Set aside
- In a large saucepan combine lemons, oranges, cloves, cinnamon sticks, red wine, and cranberry Juice. Cook over low heat (do not boil) for 30 minutes
- Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar mixture
- Strain the mulled wine into and a pitcher and top with sparkling water. Serve warm and garnish with cinnamon sticks. Enjoy!
